THE SHIPWRECK COLLECTION

The Story

Alison and Rebecca were at an antique auction a couple of years ago and came across a folder of artwork... Inside the folder was the most beautiful imagery, it was love at first sight. After looking further, they found that they were 18th century original hand-coloured prints depicting a series of 'ships in distress'...
Cream Cornwall was born in Falmouth, a place where maritime is the history and heart of the town. From the information on the images, we believe that they are date from around the same time as when Falmouth was under threat from the Spanish Armada, and was defended against them from Pendennis Castle! You can feel the Cornish maritime heritage in the imagery.
Alison and Rebecca put down their bid and got to work in the design studio!

The Shipwreck design is so popular that we have added floor cushions, trays, and tableware. The collection is continuing to grow!
