Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Kernick Industrial Estate, Penryn, Cornwall
Sector: Warehousing and E-Commerce
Salary is likely to be in the region of £27,500 per annum, but there will be a performance bonus agreed upon each year as part of the appraisal cycle, that if achieved will add up to a further £3,000 to the base package.
Who We Are
Cream Cornwall is a small, independent homewares retailer, primarily located in Cornwall, with a successful and growing e-commerce business in addition to our three stunning shops in Falmouth St Ives and Bath. Our distinct designs are the reason for our continued success and the quality of our products and customer service keeps our customers returning. You will report directly to the Managing Director and be expected to complete activity reports on a weekly basis to allow monitoring of team and personal performance set against key deliverables.

Key Skills that you will bring to Cream Cornwall
- Leading (first-line management) of the small warehouse team and operating in accordance with the developed operating procedures
- First line Health and Safety
- Picking and packing of stock for customers’ orders. We pack our items beautifully for our customers but also quickly, so attention to detail is essential
- Packing and dispatching customer orders utilising our warehouse management system for processing shipments and dispatch
- Keep the warehouse shelves stocked and the warehouse clean and tidy
- Checking incoming stock for quality and to ensure all items received match delivery notes
- Ensuring the picking bays are always stocked up
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Weekly and periodic stock checks as part of the overall inventory management system
- Drive the company van to deliver/collect goods to/from our shops in Falmouth and St Ives and from our additional storage space
- Re-fuelling and keeping the work van clean and in good road worthy state
- Other ad hoc tasks relevant to the job role including some practical DIY type skills to keep the buildings in good order
Personal Skills
- Physically able to carry bulky items [occasionally up to 30kg]
- Computer literate and willing to embrace new technology

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a calm and positive approach
- Confident and assertive problem solver
- Able to work at height, we have high shelves but with safety ladders
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
- A proactive approach towards safety practices in the workplace
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Full UK Driving Licence and able to drive a manual car based van
- Minimum of 2 references – one of which will be in your role as a supervisor/team leader
This is a summary of the role, but you will be expected to undertake additional ad-hoc duties as and when necessary to fulfil the needs of the business

When do Expect You to Make all This Happen?
- Normally Monday to Friday but during busy times also some weekend shifts may be required. Your average week will be about 40 hours and we provide a paid 20 minute break each day and an unpaid 30 minute lunch break. Leave will only be granted in exceptional circumstances in Nov, Dec (there is a Christmas shut down each year) and January.
