THE BYRON COLLECTION: THE INSPIRATION & THE JOURNEY
We’ve been dreaming of this new collection for a long time; ideas have come, gone and evolved, and finally, what we’ve been imagining all this time is in front of us ready to share. Designing a collection is a journey, and ironically, it’s Lord Byron’s journey and his romantic love affair with the Mediterranean, along with Falmouth's connections to the seas beyond that inspired ours.
For the first time ever, we forced ourselves to go away to design this collection. We needed some time without interruptions to get creative! We arrived on the Amalfi coast armed with a portable printer and some time to design.
It was an incredible environment to work in and being surrounded by that Mediterranean lifestyle and it definitely influenced our illustrations and colour choices!

Our Byron range pays tribute to the colours and beauty that are so evocative of the Mediterranean. It captures the sense of adventure and exploration that Byron began when he left Falmouth in 1809 headed for Lisbon, leaving England behind forever. Falmouth at this time was a bustling town of activity, with Tall Ships and Packet ships connecting the town to a world beyond England, making it a melting pot for global influences.
The designs in this collection remind us of Byron's journey to the East and of how incredible and fascinating the Mediterranean would have appeared to him; seeing familiar things with fresh eyes, in different colours and textures.
The traditional Provencal block print patterns, with their Indian/Asian influences, create bright, sunny vibes, and we’ve added our own Cream coastal twist to these patterns. Our designs include beautifully detailed shells and sea creatures, each distinctive with decorative, embellished patterning.
We’ve designed the most beautiful kitchen and table linen with table runners, tea towels, oven gloves and napkins to turn your mealtime into an experience and your kitchen into a place that makes you smile.
There’s a range of luxe cushions in different sea creature designs that instantly turn your bed, armchair or sofa into not only a talking point, but also a piece that evokes those summer feels.
We've also got some gorgeous lampshades to complete the collection - these shine no matter the weather, and as usual we've designed a variety of quality fabrics. Some fabric details mini shells, coral, starfish and flowers, whereas other designs display bigger patterns of our gorgeous, redesigned lobster, puffer fish and crab.
This range is a true summer collection; it’s playful, young at heart, relaxed and calm and is certain to be a feature of any space. We love Byron for its originality, atmosphere and presence, and know you are going to love it too.
